Passion Fades, Purpose Stays

2025-06-27 | Passion is great; but consistency is more important than staying excited discipline is what keeps you moving when passion fades

It’s not about doing what you like, it’s about liking what you do
One thing I’ve found myself getting used to, is chasing what feels good
Sometimes I find myself putting in more effort into the things that excite me, or only showing up when I’m in the mood
Purpose doesn’t always come dressed in passion
Sometimes it comes in discipline, in doing the work, in choosing to stay consistent; even when it’s not fun
You won’t always love the process, but you can learn to love what it’s producing in you
It was never going to be easy; it will be worth it¹
So even when it’s tiring, even when it might feel unseen; keep going, keep giving it your all
Because what you are producing matters and is not in vain

1 Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. ↩
